If you’re one of the 50,000+ people hit by the collapse of Super Break or LateRooms, the first thing to say is don’t worry, you should get a refund of any money you’ve paid and you might still be able to go on your holiday as planned.
Anyone abroad at the moment on a Super Break package including flights should be able to continue their trip and your return flight booking should still be valid.
You might be asked to pay again for accommodation and other services such as entertainment tickets, but you will be able to claim a refund via the Civil Aviation Authority when you get home.
However, there are limits on how much you can spend. You can get further advice here, and the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has a helpline for any Super Break customers affected -0333 103 6350.You can’t claim back the cost of the call though.
If you have yet to travel and you booked through a travel agent, they’ll be able to advise you on what to do next as they might be able to re-book you with a different company.
If you booked direct with Super Break unfortunately your holiday will have been cancelled. If your package included a flight, the CAA has specific advice for you here.
Overseas holidays that don’t include flights and UK holidays are protected by ABTA. It has advice for customers on its website.

Hotel-only bookings in the UK aren’t protected by ABTA, but if you booked with a credit or Visa debit card you might be able to get a refund under the terms of the Consumer Credit Act, so you should contact your card issuer.

LateRooms.com says hotels should honour all bookings because it didn’t take any money from customers, it is a booking-only platform, however you’re advised to check with your hotel before you leave home.
